Della Terra Wedding
Morgan and Alex hired me to film their Della Terra wedding about a year before their wedding. They knew they wanted a venue close to Rocky Mountain National Park and in my opinion, Della Terra is one the best venues in Estes Park.
The Della Terra Wedding Venue
Della Terra is literally a stone’s throw away from the Fall River Road entrance of Rocky Mountain National park. The actual grounds of Della Terra is beautiful, nestled in the trees with beautiful mountains all around. Wild life, such as deer and wild turkeys roam the grounds. And the inside of the Della Terra venue is spectacular. As you can tell from my multiple videos of a Della Terra Wedding, the lighting in the reception hall is breathtaking, a wedding videographer’s dream come true.
The Rooms
I knew about Della Terra before I ever shot a wedding. My husband and I were looking for a getaway spot and Della terra was on the top of our list. The room’s are romantic, private and gorgeous. While they do have family friendly cabins on site, these suite rooms are adult only and really bring an upscale feel to the whole experience.
Each of the rooms have the most amazing design. From in room fireplaces to private balconies with hot tubs, be prepared to be pampered without ever leaving your suite. Its a perfect place for your honeymoon night. However, what makes these rooms the most jaw-dropping is their bathrooms. Their bathrooms have large soaking tubs, ambient lighting, rain showers, on-wall waterfalls, fireplaces and skylights.
Basically when you choose a Della Terra wedding you get it all, from wedding venue to private rooms that make it worth it all.
The overall staff and experience
I have worked at many Della Terra wedding. And while it’s truly gorgeous and the perfect location, this is not the only reason it’s on my continual referral list. The staff at Della Terra are truly service oriented. They care about you and your wedding. Their onsite coordinator is fantastic, kind and organized. And they treat your other vendors with care. This is huge when making a referral list. I know many a venue who do not treat their vendors with care, such as good communication to help your day go smoothly. Also, many venues charge their couples $25-30 dollars to feed their vendors ( photographers, videographers, DJ, Etc) and they end up feeding old deli sandwiches that frankly most of my couples are embarrassed to learn about. Della Terra cares for their couples whole team to make sure their couples have an amazing smooth, memorable day.

Morgan and Alex have been together since high school. They have known for years they wanted to be married but wanted to wait for the right time to have the wedding of their dreams. Both being from Texas, they choose a destination wedding to Colorado. They wanted Colorado’s beautiful mountains as their backdrop and knew that Rocky Mountain National park would be a perfect spot.
Morgan and Alex hired me for my adventure package which includes full day of coverage as well as the day after adventure session. They also added a family hike with their 5 year old daughter the day before.
For their day before the session, we hiked to Dream lake. One of my favorite hikes, which you can learn about here. Its an easy hike but it does not disappoint with its spectacular view.
Their day of wedding, we covered everything at Della Terra and were even able to add some drone footage on their property since drones are not allowed in Rocky Mountain National park.

And lastly the next evening, we drove through Rocky Mountain National Park to one of my favorite locations, Trail Ridge Road. Here we watched the sun go down, lighting up its’ breathtaking mountains. It was for sure a night to remember and added a ton to their wedding film.
