Denver Wedding Videographer

When Abby and Justin called me to be their Denver wedding videographer, I couldn’t be more thrilled. Not only is Maven Hotel a really gorgeous venue, but Abby and Justin’s theme was an Art Deco/ Great Gasby type vibe with an alleyway ceremony. It was truly gorgeous.

I have shot many city hotel weddings and this was for sure, one of my favorites. This was the first time the Maven hotel opened up their alleyway for a ceremony. Hanging lights and greenery truly made this pop. Moody Blue Events truly made this day run smoothly.

The rooms at the Maven

The rooms at the Maven hotel were the perfect drop back for their getting ready shots. Plenty of natural light and hip decor that made everything stand out in a good way. They had their first look at Union Station and it fit their theme perfectly. Then we were able to get a lot of their wedding party photos and video done there as well.

Right before the ceremony started we were out in the alleyway doing a few more photos, when all of the sudden an incredible band and show came through. The famous Denver performers Handsome Little Devils came through their alleyway right as we were passing by. It just so happened that Handsome Little Devils and the amazing live band, Guerrilla Fanfare were performing for Denver to bring in the summer solstice! Abby and Justin were game to jump in the party and celebrate their day with these amazing performers. As a Denver wedding videographer, I couldn’t have been more excited to see their story combined with their elements around them.

The Ceremony

One thing I love as a Denver wedding videographer is being able to combine the mountains of Denver and the hip-ness of the city of Denver. This wedding did this so well. The ceremony was absolutely perfect for their vibe. But of course my favorite part of their ceremony was their vows. Abby and Justin took the time to really poor into their vows and share their hearts with each other. There was not a dry eye in the alleyway. Check out their vows in their film below.

After the ceremony , the incredible local band, diamondempireband.com came out with style as they brought life to the dance floor. This band was good energy, lots of fun and extremely talented! Everyone was out dancing and having the time of their life.

But then the sun began to set. We did not have much time. The incredible photographer Ashley Tiedgen and I grabbed Abby and Justin and took them to one of their bedroom balcony. The sun setting, with the stillness of their day beginning to set in truly set the mood. We were able to stand back and give them space as they reflected on one incredible truth: They were now husband and wife.
